Art is ultimately my life.

Since I was 2 years old art made its self aware and visible to my new young eyes and ever since I have found this journey deep,contemplating,satisfying and beautiful.

Art comes to all artists in different ways ,ages and occasions.

For myself I can say it is something that I was born with.

Eyes that spot the differences of light and dark on objects, the small beauty in the glimmer on a dragonflies wings.

A fascination with color and expression.

Although childhood is full of fuzzy hazy memories they still have a place in my imagination. Pig tales ,ribbons and lace.

Running through endless cornfields,picking wildflowers,catching fireflies. Eating fresh veggies from our garden,spinning until I would fall and the earth would catch me. Soft memories of my grandmothers voice, my mother getting me ready for school braiding my long hair, my father playing the piano to me daily , our farm and our Haunted House...

Being surrounded by the supernatural at such an early age mixed in with imagination this was a powerful duo. So close to the other side and all that lies behind it. Taught me much and the unspoken knowledge gained was priceless but what we lost was unmeasurable and that of a tradgety.

A imagination that was hard to stop even when practically would be more appropriate.

School was not the easiest of things for me due to a wandering mind and passionate spirit not easily tamed.

I found in art not an escapism but a satisfying magical world that was and is real only for those who believe and open their eyes.

A beautiful blessed gift I have been given.

So many facets of this experience we call life, the human condition.

All can be better understood,contemplated and transcended through the exploration of art.

In my life there were many years where art was the only thing I had to call my own. Not a lover nor a figure of guidance to light my way. I found it though on my own and through my art.

When people buy my art I know that what they have bought is beautiful and a genuine part of my experience and since my experience is shared with humanity it is all ours. I know that my art can and does connect with many from all types of backgrounds and beliefs. Symbolism is deep within all our essences.

I paint because I feel it is what Im here to do, it is my calling. Theres nothing else that brings me so much joy, I dont see myself doing anything else.

To bring to light love,light,grace,and hope.

Painting sets me free and to share my art is even more satisfying. Raising awareness ,consciousness through the power of art. Bringing the sacred, the mysterious to the surface so it may not be forgotten.

I have traveled the United States throughly, analyzing the culture and the differences of each area. There is much to see in our great country and many places I can do with out ever seeing again.

Some places give me a great calling that it is hard to resist. At different times in my life I have been called to different parts of the country. From the Midwest to the deep south,New Orleans Louisiana to the Beautiful Mountains of Montana,Seattle,La California,Las Vegas,Santa Cruz,Big Sur.... So many places and so much has been realized and dissolved.

A few years back I had the most powerful calling to the Hawaiian Islands.

Once I reached the islands I feel in love, over taken by the love and the magic of the land and people. Although I have left and came back the love for Hawaii is strong no matter where Iam at. Slowly I realized that the Islands are just where im being called to be, something that can not be argued against. For when your going against your path everything feels hard and wrong but when your on your path things are easy and start to open up and just feel right.

Art has taught me much about this, we can have our plans for what we think will happen or what we want to happen but when we open up and let things happen miraculous things start to unfold, you just have to have faith.
